Michael Andrews, Founder and CEO If anyone knows how a suit should look and fit a gentleman, it would be Michael. A self-proclaimed “recovering corporate attorney,” Michael donned a suit and tie to a law firm every day for nearly eight years. When he could not find off-the-rack suits cut to his liking, he began having his cloths custom tailored. After trying over a dozen tailors without finding exactly what he wanted, he decided to open his own tailor shop. Since doing his homework had become second nature—Michael received his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a prestigious President’s Scholar, then received his JD, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his MBA, with distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management—he began taking tailoring classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology to understand professional tailoring techniques first-hand. In 2006, Michael Andrews Bespoke was launched with the vision of crafting high-end yet affordable menswear with a modern flare. |
Marian Galam |
Marian Galam, Director of Operations Although Michael runs the company, Marian runs the show. After receiving degrees in fashion design from San Francisco State University and pattern making from Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Marian joined the Michael Andrews team in 2007. Her background in fashion has been invaluable as she’s overseen the company’s growth during the past three years, and her warm smile and near photographic memory keep Michael and the team out of trouble, at least most of the time. |
Alex Yampolskiy |
Alex Yampolskiy, Vice President, Client Relations Alex isn’t just head of client relations, he was also a client. After being so pleased with his Michael Andrews suits, he joined the team on a consulting basis in 2008 and helped drive the company’s growth over the past two years. Alex finally gave up his career in advertising to join Michael Andrews on a full-time basis in 2010. Alex received his bachelor’s degree in marketing and fashion merchandising from Bloomsburg University. |
Carolina Montesino |
Carolina Montesino, Design Coordinator Carolina Montesino joined the MAB team as an intern in 2009 and came on full-time in 2010 after graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in fashion design. |

Diogenes Concepcion, Master Tailor With over 30 years tailoring experience, Dion has been the backbone of Michael Andrews’ alteration shop since 2008. His work ethic, speed and skill is unmatched by any tailor anywhere, and he teaches Sunday school on his day off. |

Simon Ng, Master Tailor Simon began tailoring before Michael was even born. With over 40 years experience in New York and Hong Kong, Simon is a master of the jacket. He spent several years at Ascot Chang, and at one point had his own custom shop before losing it in an underground poker tournament. Or something like that. |
